  • Organizational History

    The First National Bank of Fort Kent, Maine was organized by Paul D. Thibodeau on July 7, 1919. The officers elected were Paul D. Thibodeau as President; Henry W. Nadeau as First Vice-President; Fred E. Michaud as Second Vice-President; Arthur A. Hebert as cashier. The Directors were Paul D. Thibodeau, Henry W. Nadeau, Fred E. Michaud, Irenée Cyr, Ulderic Dumond, Maxime P. Gagnon, Albert R. Michaud, Saul Michaud, T. T. Michaud, Cleophas Nadeau, Philip A. Roy, William L. Savage, T. A. St. John, Frank A. O’Connell, Henry W. Theriault.

    This collection consists of an eight page bulletin titled The First National Bank News published monthly by The First National Bank, Fort Kent, Maine, vol.1, no. 7, dated November 1923. The bulletin contains advertisements from local businesses and humorous articles on how and what to do to save money. The pages are yellowed and brittle and some torn pieces are missing.
