  • Biographical Information

    James A. Hafford was born on June 29, 1926. On January 30, 1946, Hafford enlisted in the United States army for the Panama Canal Department. He married Jean M. Hafford on September 20, 1953, and they lived in Allagash, Maine. Hafford died on April 28, 1998, with a last residence of East Millinocket, Maine.

    Tape-recorded interview with James A. Hafford of Allagash, Maine regarding his experiences during World War II (1939-1945), recorded on 15 December 1987 and submitted for a course at the University of Maine at Fort Kent in Fall of 1987.
